Terms:
A 50% deposit in U.S. funds (money order, certified
check or bank draft) is required to start the
building
process. At the time the order is placed, the current base price plus any
options will equal the final price.
The building process will involve anywhere from a little to a lot
of communication, depending on the complexity of the project. I will spend as
much time as necessary to be certain that the guitar being built meets customer
expectations in terms of appearance, playability, and sound.
One week after receiving the deposit, the customer will be notified
that the work has been initiated.
Currently my build time is approximately 4 to 6 months. The
customer will be notified upon completion, at which time the balance payment is
due. Shipping will proceed when the balance is received.
Shipping:
The guitar will be shipped in its case (with strings
slackened) inside a packed cardboard box, fully insured, via Fed Ex Overnight at
the customer’s expense. This method is best to avoid damage or loss. Other
shipping arrangements must be made in advance if this method is not agreeable to
the customer.
Warranty:
Each guitar is covered by a limited warranty to the
original purchaser, for as long as the guitar is owned, and I am physically
able, against defective materials or workmanship.
Not covered are:
- Normal fret wear
- Finish damage from moisture (sweat or spills)
- Damage incurred by misuse or accidents
- Natural cracking of wood or finishes due to changes in temperature and
humidity.
